Reading Journal Blog #2
Emphaty: Choose an important moment in the story for one of the characters and write a diary entry for that character (ie. what that character would put into his or her personal diary for that day when the important thing happened). Try to write in a style you think fits the character's personality.
Dear diary, today my son Eric said that he believes a war in
the near future is possible. Even if you say that history is repeating itself,
I don't believe in it. There are only losers in the war and why would anyone
risk that? I should soon be talking to my son about politics etc., a man should
know about it and understand it. Otherwise he doesn't understand what is
happening in the world. In addition, each individual is responsible for the
future. I don't think he cares at all, though. The whole family is not interested
in politics, because when I started to explain to my son why there will be no
wars, my wife interrupted me. Sometimes I can't stop talking when it comes to
politics or the environment. That's why I enjoy spending time with my friends,
because they are also interested. I'd be happy if Eric was more interested in
politics. I would also like to know whether Gerald is interested in politics.
After all, he is responsible for my daughter's future.

Cool. I like this entry. I would not have chosen this point in the story to write an entry, but it's very interesting to see you write about it. Great.
