Prediction: At any point in the story predict how some character is going to change/develop (character development) as the story progresses. How will they change?
I think Mr. Birling will change. The inspector will make Mr. Birling feel so guilty that he regrets firing the woman. I can imagine that he and his wife will make a campaign in the town for fair wages and equal rights. He will review all salaries and adjust them if they are unfair or too low. Mr. Birling will realize that money is not by far the most important thing and will learn to show compassion, which we never see from him yet.

Relationship between Gerald and Sheila:
At the beginning of the book the relationship is great. Although
Sheila accused Gerald of having too little time for her during the summer, although
the relationship seems to work out very well. Gerald proposed to Sheila and she
affirmed him. However, during the conversation with Inspector Goole it came out
that Gerald had an affair with Daisy Renton/Eva Smith this summer.
I'm wondering if Sheila will break up, hopefully I'll find
out when I read the next few pages.169 Words
