Prediction: At any point in the story take a guess as how the story (plot) will go on or finally conclude. What is going to happen.
I'm at this point, where Sheila is about to find out that Gerald went to a bar with Daisy Renton/Eva Smith in the summer, at the time he supposedly didn't have time for Sheila. I don't know what's going on at the bar because i read just at site 50. I think Gerald kissed Daisy Renton/Eva Smith at the bar and regretted it afterwards. Sheila must be very angry with Gerald. I could well imagine whether she will not accept Gerald's proposal. I also believe that in Mr. Birling will find out that, Inspector Goole is not a real inspector. In my opinion, Inspector Goole can’t be a real Inspector because he knows so much about Daisy Renton/Eva Smith right after the death. Normally it takes some time fort he informations after a death. I could also imagine that Daisy Renton and Eva Smith are not the same person as Inspector Goole says, i think they are two different people. I can't imagine a person changing names so often. The name cannot be changed so easily and I don't see the benefit. Because a new name doesn't make you a new person, even if Inspector Goole says so.

After i wrote this blog and read further in the book, I understand that Mr Goole has the information from a diary.

Reflection: At any point, write about how you feel while reading a section of the book. Say how what is happening makes you feel and why? I just finished reading the book. And the ending is really exciting. You can see the real character of the Birling parents. They were just relaxed and happy that there was no scandal. Like little kids, they don't learn anything from all this. That disappointed me a little. Eric and Sheila are very different and I think that's great. Sheila has to tell parents that all this could have really happened. I think she's never gonna do to anyone else ever again what she did to Daisy/Eva. I wonder how you can be as blind as the Birling parents. They think only of themselves. As soon as there are no consequences for them, they show no remorse and I think both would do the same again. Who knows, maybe this will actually drive someone to their death. You can really compare them to little children because they only learn when they fee...

Reflection: Write down your first impressions of the book or play. Ask some questions. Write down quotations. Copy whole passages that are difficult or that you really like a lot. I didn't knew exactly what to do with the first page. Because it's just a description of a filmset or something similar. I read it like three times but then i thought maybe its better to skip this page. After reading a few pages it was clear to me. On page seven, Sheila say "I'd hate you to know all about port - like one of these purple-faced old men." What does she means with purple-faced old men? I think it's no a compliment. Maybe she means a old men, who is called "Spiesser" in german or a old men who's very boring and never goes outside. If you never go outside, you become a purple face .In my opinion, this is very disrespectful. Analysis: Are there any words your are unsure of their meaning? Write down the words. Then write down what you think they mean, guessing from the context. Then look them up and write down a dictionary. rates --> first i thought it means the plural of the animal rat. But in the context i think it's the money for the workers. LEO says that they are the costs, which you have to pay at the city or country. Analysis: Name 5 of the main themes of the novel or play.
